Lara Eaton

While she has always had a love of sports, Lara’s true passions are horse riding, dance and Pilates. After discovering the Pilates method in 2009, she obtained her Matwork qualification (up to Advanced level) with STOTT Pilates® and began teaching classes at Natural Affinity in 2012. She has since completed the Stott Reformer instructors course (Intermediate level) as well as Total Barre and numerous other workshops (prenatal pilates, zenga and rehab-related). Lara took her passion one step further and focused on Pilates for women’s health as the topic of her MSc thesis (Human Kinetics & Ergonomics, Rhodes University, 2017). She is currently also in a managerial role at the studio since 2019, assisting with marketing, administration and client relations.

Lara enjoys teaching group classes as well as working with individual clients who require more specialised attention. She is a great believer in fitness for sustainable, long term health and considers exercise as medicine for the body, mind and spirit.
