Ashwin Pienaar

Ashwin is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor and an artist. He enjoys most physical activities and a range of sports. He instructs Ashtanga and Yin classes at the studio and enjoys the discipline which yoga requires. While building strength, the Ashtanga practice (following a set sequence of poses), becomes meditative as one becomes familiar with the sequence. Yin, on the other hand, is restorative. By holding passive poses for 3 to 5 minutes, deep connective tissue is repaired. Some poses are comfortable, others are not. Breathing and concentration are important.
